This, the second cantata by Bruce Brolsma, is based on Romans 8:31-39, and was commissioned by University Lutheran Church, Cambridge, Massachusetts, on the occasions of the 50th ordination anniversary and 80th birthday of the Reverend Doctor Helmut Koester, Research Professor of Divinity at Harvard Divinity School. It was first performed on November 5, 2006 at University Lutheran Church.
It was also performed nine years later during Dr. Koester's funeral service, held on January 16, 2016 at University Lutheran Church. An MP3 recording of that performance is available here:
