Dokkum

Dokkum is a very picturesque town, thoroughly charming. There are Brolsmas who live there even now. In 2004, it happened to be celebrating the 1250th anniversary of Bonifatius, the monk who founded the abbey in Dokkum.

Dokkum, though located well inland of the North Sea, is connected by canal, and many people delight in sailing inland.
